I rescued Carly from our local animal shelter after the puppy mill she spent seven years in was shut down. She had been used only for breeding and kept in a kennel so small that her front legs were permanently deformed.
But if you knew Carly, you’d never guess the life she came from — because she chose joy anyway.
She loved clothes. She would dance while picking out her outfit for the day. If her hair wasn’t up in a bow, she’d quietly slip away and pout until it was just right. She carried a gentleness and a resilience that felt impossible given her past.
Carly taught me grace. She taught me that even when life is hard, it can still be good. And from the moment she came into my life, my heart for animal rescue grew right alongside her.
When Carly passed away, I knew her story couldn’t end with her. I promised to honor her — not just in memory, but through action.
That promise became Carly’s Angels.
Celebrating the season by giving back
This Christmas, we had the honor of sponsoring sweet rescue dogs on behalf of our clients through our partner organizations. Each card represented a real dog, a real story, and a step closer to a forever home. What began as a holiday gift became something far more meaningful — a chance to give hope where it was needed most.

Carly’s Angels exists because her story mattered, and because there are still dogs waiting for someone to choose them. This is how we support rescue dogs on their way to forever homes, through real partnerships and real outcomes.
Because of our clients, this give-back supports sweet dogs and the rescues working every day to help them get home. We’re so grateful to do this together.
And this is just the beginning.
